Parent Involvement

Our preschool is unique in that parents and the teacher work together to foster the children’s development.

Parents help in the classroom on a rotating basis, (1-2 times per month) keeping the ratio of adult to child at 1:5.

Some of the benefits of being a part of a cooperative preschool are:

  • A strong sense of community for parents and children. When parents and teachers work closely together, you develop strong relationships with the teacher and other involved parents.

  • It provides children with a safe and secure learning environment in which to thrive and grow!

  • Parents gain a better understanding of their development by spending time with them in the classroom- Parents also maintain a committee job which can be chosen to match your unique abilities such as: class photographer, helping plan the yearbook, planning fieldtrips, etc.

  • Parents get to play an active role in your child’s first school experience and gain a greater understanding of your child’s gifts and abilities

The efforts of Parents and their involvement make our preschool a unique and rewarding experience for families!
